Geoff studied art and education at Bretton between 1974 to 1977 working in ceramics and painting in oils.
After leaving Bretton he pursued a career in engineering, living and working in many different parts of the world including the USA, India, Zambia and South Africa.
In this country some of the major engineering projects he has been involved in are the new Wembley Stadium, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge over the Thames and the new Forth Road Bridge.
However this period also led to a 47 year creative hiatus with a complete lack of any artistic endeavour.
Upon retirement and after much encouragement, and effort from a couple of notable individuals, (you know who you are,) he has re-kindled his artistic spirit and is now working to feed his creative enthusiasm.
Always interested in the discipline of portraiture he is fascinated by the infinite variety of subject matter to be found in the human face, the life it has led and the stories it can tell.
